Boet Nel Hunting Safaris
Main lodge and associated facilities

The main lodge consists of a central community area for dining, relaxing and planning the days hunt. This is the base from which we do most of our hunting, though other facilities are used for Zebra and Leopard.  Traditional tent camps are are sometimes used as we hunt specific areas to the north and south.

Outside the lodge is a beautiful lawn and flowers, that the Kudu tend to eat at night.  A nice pool is available to cool down in during the heat of the day when the game is not moving.

Inside the main facility you find the kitchen, dining area, television / video corner, bar, plus a collection of African trophies.

Sleeping quarters consist of canvas tents with concrete floors.  Each tent offers electric lights, comfortable beds, shower and toilet facilities. Heaters are available for the cooler nights.

Every morning you awake to hot coffee or tea being served at your bed side. There is time for a shower before breakfast, as each tent at the main lodge has running water, toilet and shower facilities.

In the early predawn hours breakfast is served in the dining area before loading the vehicles for a day of hunting.

The pool is wonderful in the heat of the day and nice to cool off in as the sun sets in the west.

Excellent salting facilities and storage will please any hunter.  The trophy care is excellent, and normally trophies will arrive at the destination of your choice within six weeks of your departure, if you have your import permits arranged prior to the hunt.

Trophies are dried they stored on a shelf designated for that one individual.  Each item is carefully marked with the clients name and what the package consists of.

Some of the most enjoyable times of any hunt are those spent around the fire in the evening, sharing stories of hunts past, talking to friends, going over the day just completed and planning the day to come.  This is the foundation of memories.  Please come join us.

Lay by the pool during the heat of the day and then relax and have a drink by the fire pit during the evening hours. Share the stories of the days hunt, and listen to the experiences of life in Africa.
